UNG*: For admissions, students must have an unweighted core academic HS GPA of 3.25 PLUS,
new SAT - 480 Math and 530 evidenced based reading / writing
AND minimum of 1050 combined of the two (one must be higher than minimum).
OR ACT: 20 Composite, 20 ENG or Reading, 18 Math
OR:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, national SAT and ACT dates that were scheduled through June 2020 have been canceled. In response to this action, the University System of Georgia made the decision to allow USG institutions to grant admission to Dual Enrollment students based on alternative admissions standards, including the use of the PSAT to determine admissibility. Based on this new guidance, UNG has adopted the following admission requirements for Dual Enrollment students seeking admission for summer or fall 2020:
Accuplacer Scores: 243 Reading, 4 Writeplacer, 266 Math (Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics test -QRAS).
UNG is currently using a virtual Accuplacer test. NOTE: All UNG dual enrollment students accepted by PSAT or Accuplacer during the Covid exceptions must take and requirements with an SAT or ACT when they wish to move from DE status to regular freshman admissions status upon high school graduation.
NOTE: A few 10th graders yearly may be accepted at Early College with UNG, BUT the admissions requirements are higher for DE funding and require ACT or SAT at the Zell Miller level. Accuplacer and PSAT scores may not be used for DE funding of 10th graders for academics for USG or TCSG institutions. Talk to Early College administration if your scores meet the above requirements.

Note: Students completing any core curriculum academic course will receive credit when transferring to another University System of Georgia Institution (as well as receiving credit on the student's high school transcript. *5.0 scale)

When looking at courses and how they transfer to other University System of Georgia Institutions, you may go to that University and look at articulation agreements. ANY University System of Georgia Institution WILL transfer the credits from UNG but how the credit is counted/what class/ is up to the university. Here are the links for a few articulation agreements.:
